DIY: Racerback Tank

With only a month and a half of school left, it is time to slip into our hot summer bods and bring out the workout gear! But first, let's take a step back and look at the boxy man tee you're about to slip on.  Umm...I think you can do better! Can't afford it? Do it yourself!

Materials: Scissors, and a t-shirt

1)  Lay the t-shirt out on a flat surface in front of you.  Use your scissors to cut away the crew neck, the sleeves, and the bottom hem.

2)  Adjust the front neckline by cutting away slithers of the neck fabric until it is as low as you want.

3) Turn the t-shirt to the back.  At the arm holes, cut them in so that they form a racerback. (Make sure to avoid cutting the part of the arm holes that show on the front of the shirt) Then, cut a deep V.

4) Grab the bottom hem that you cut off in Step 1 and cut the circle to form a long line.

5) Stretch the hem out

6) Hem should now look like a long noodle.

7) Two inches below the bottom of the V, make a double knot around the narrow strip with the noodle.

8). Wrap the noodle around the narrow strip.  Then, double knot at the end.

9) Stretch the shirt out to make it just a little longer.

DONE!

Now get ready to work out in style
